– Support and develop a unified digital strategy among 34 market-leading Radio stations

– Responsible for creating and managing internal systems and processes to keep all digital platforms up-to-date, current, and competitive with local news and information (text, video, data) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
– Partner with local sales management to achieve revenue targets.
– Capitalize on alternate revenue streams, including passive revenue.
– Responsible for the overall management and functionality of KMTV.com, and all other assigned digital platforms, such as mobile, tablet and social and third-party/syndicated.
– Work collaboratively with corporate digital team on implementation, support and training for current and new products and platforms.

– Optimize pages and sections of the website for search (SEO).

– Work closely with all departments (including News, Advertising, Marketing, Sales) in a collaborative manner to support their digital needs.
– Conceptualize and create new content areas on the website and manage others engaged in similar assignments.
– Work with site partners and advertisers to create and maintain web content, including the incorporation, insertion and maintenance of native content or advertiser creative and video commercials into the sites or apps.
– Some design of advertiser creative may be required.
– Troubleshoot any and all problems that may develop with the website.
– Provide digital training and development for station colleagues.
Digital Content Producer, Scripps Media (KTTS, KSPW, KRVI, KSGF) — 2013 – 2015
Monitor the web and social media to find content that can be curated and published across all 4 station websites (KTTS, KSPW, KSGF, & KRVI). Produce organic content, both onsite and from the newsroom, during breaking news, community events and concerts. This content includes story summaries, media galleries, curated videos, audio from our stations and other interactive content to best engage our audiences and drive traffic to our sites.
Train other members of 50 person team on best practices and industry trends. Hold direct responsibility for content quality and timelessness across four market-leading sites and several micro-sites.
Develop content strategy for multiple mobile apps, each with a distinct target audience. Work as a member of the Springfield Operations digital team to develop and implement new digital products across our platforms. Provide additional content as time allows to the Scripps National Team for distribution across more than 100 platforms.
